God saw everything He had made and behold, it was very good and He validated it completely.

Genesis 1:31

Do you think that it is ungodly to do boudoir sessions?

You are God's creation, you are very good. Boudoir photos are a visual representation for you to see that God has already validated ALL of you completely. There is nothing to be ashamed of about doing or desiring to do a boudoir session. Boudoir portraits are a way for you to express yourself. Some people hear boudoir and their minds automatically think of pornography or women's bodies being exploited for the male gaze and pleasure. Images found in Playboy and Hustler magazines are not boudoir portraits in my humble opinion! The purpose of those publications is to entice the highly visual male species. Some may say they just get the magazine "to read the articles," yeah right...

The boudoir experience at Renee Buckles Photography is about uplifting and encouraging women, not making them eye candy for the male gaze. That is the narrative around here. No need to be fearful about doing this for yourself. No one is going to know about your session unless you tell them, and no one is going to see your pictures unless you share them.

Are you married? Doing a session for yourself will actually rekindle that intimacy fire with your spouse. You don't believe me? Try it and see! Spice up that marital bed!

Not married? That is not a valid excuse to not do a session. Oh, you can still do a session for yourself because you are worthy and very good. There is nothing wrong with celebrating yourself.

Whether it be for yourself or someone else, this art provides endless opportunities for beauty beyond words because boudoir does not have limits but rather emits empowerment through vulnerability. Every woman should feel confident enough in her own skin to capture these images as they are right now in the present.
